Roving Studio is a highly collaborative studio working at the intersection of architecture, art, social justice, public space, and in-depth research. The practice is led by Kelly Gregory.

Kelly Gregory
Architect / Artist / Sailor

Kelly Gregory is an itinerant social artist and architect based out of oceanic autonomous zones, coastal California, and the Great Lakes state. Her practice is rooted in socially-engaged work that centers housing as a human right, climate justice, democratic public space, and inclusive community-driven research. Her practice is highly collaborative and bridges the speculative with the practical, crafting buildings, public space, and community-centered environments that fold in thoughtful future solutions.

Kelly’s practice is nimble, nuanced and expansive. It is focused on long-term collaborative engagement though residency programs, fellowships, and voyages.  It includes co-founding Hi-Vis Agency, Post-Car Adventuring, Roving Ocean Artist Residency, and the Sawbill Surf Club.  Her practice is rooted in field-work though deep community immersion, ocean voyages, long-distance cycle touring, walking across landscapes, and swimming across seas (next up!).
